I was on assignment for McArthur Glen, Europe's largest developer of designer outlet centers. One of this centers is the Parndorf Center, east of Vienna. It was Sunday evening, I had finished my work, and took a short drive towards the Neusidler See, marveling at all the wind turbines in that part of the country. I found myself in one of the little towns near the water (it was before in-camera GPS capabilities , and I did not make notes, my bad!), so not sure exactly which one. But I saw this church steeple sticking up in the last rays of the sun, and made my way around to the north side and was able to pull over and get out of the car. The natural leading lines of the wall, coming in as they do from the building on the left. snd rising slightly, made for a wonderful composition. And while it's very pretty in color, I prefer the dynamics of this B&W treatment. Another image featured in the 2022/23 reFocus Black and White Awards.
